223 families rescued in Navotas City amid heavy rains, flooding


A total of 134 families were evacuated by the Navotas city government on Wednesday, July 24, due to flooding caused by non-stop rains in Metro Manila.

According to the local government, as of 3:36 p.m., a total of 1,054 individuals are currently staying in the evacuation centers.

The following are the evacuation centers in the city:

  • Tanza National High School
  • Wawa Elementary School
  • Brgy. Hall of Tangos South
  • San Roque National High School
  • Daanghari Elementary School
  • Brgy. Hall of San Jose
  • Bagumbayan Elementary School:
  • Brgy. Hall Navotas East
  • Brgy. Hall of BBN
  • Filemon T. Lizan Senior High School
  • Brgy Hall of Bangkulasi
  • Brgy. Hall of NBBN

The local government encouraged the residents staying in low-lying areas to evacuate.
