The Vice President said in a statement that the order was issued by PNP chief Police Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil on Monday, July 22.

Duterte assured the public that the order would not affect her work in the Office of the Vice President. She said that her office will continue to deliver services to the Filipino people.

“We will continue our job in delivering services to our fellow citizens, especially those in remote or underserved communities in our country,” Duterte said in a local dialect.

Duterte said she is hoping that with the latest directive of the PNP chief, the public will hear fewer cries from the people regarding the proliferation of drugs in the country and that even fewer shall fall victim to various criminal activities.
