The Valenzuela City local government issued a flood advisory warning the public on several areas that were not passable to light vehicles due to the heavy downpour caused by Typhoon Carina on Wednesday, July 24.
As of 11 a.m., the following is the list areas in the city that were not passable to all types of vehicles :
Macarthur Highway
-Flying V Malinta - 10 to 12 inches
-Balubaran, Malinta - 8 to 10 inches
Barangay Marulas
-Police Pad, Marulas - 18 to 19 inches
-San Miguel - 18 to 19 inches
-BBB, Marulas - 18 to 19 inches
-Fatima Marulas - 18 to 19 inches
- Fatima Hospital -18 to 19 inches
- Pio Val Marulas -16 to 17 inches
- Valsped Center, Malinta -18 to 19 inches
- Flying V, Malinta- 18 to 19 inches
Barangay Maysan to Bagbaguin Road
-Shell Paso de Blas cor. P. Santiago - 12 to 13 inches
Other areas in the city:
-G. Lazaro St. Dalandanan - 12 to 13 inches
- Karuhatan Market -11 to 12 inches
Meanwhile, the following list of thoroughfares were passable to all types of vehicles:
-Wil Oil Maysan - 9 to 10 inches
- 3s Paso de Blas - 5 to 6 inches
- Infront of BJMP Maysan - 6 to 7 inches
- By pass Road, Veinte Reales - 6 to 7 inches
- Bahay Kanlungan, Maysan - 4 to 5 inches
- East Service Road, Maysan - 4 to 5 inches
- Infront of Mayer Steel. cor T. Santiago - 3 to 4 inches
- P Deato St. Balangkas - 7 to 8 inches
- Rivera St. Pulo -6 to 7 inches
The city government also evacuated 236 families from several flood-prone areas in the city.
