The Senate suspended work in its office in Pasay City on Tuesday afternoon, July 23 due to inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon (Habagat) and Typhoon Carina.
"Upon instruction of Senate President Francis "Chiz" G. Escudero, Senate secretariat officers and employees who are not assigned specific tasks for the conduct of the plenary session today are allowed to go home at 2:30 p.m.," an advisory stated.
"Personnel of the ODSL, OEDL, PAB, OSAA, MGSB, PRIB, MDB, EDP-MIS and SMU are not included in the shortened work hours," it added.
Senate proper employees may be allowed to go home at the discretion of their respective principals.
Meanwhile, the plenary session was called to order at 3:00 p.m.
