Pasay LGU launches Brigada Eskwela amid heavy rains

The local government of Pasay City launched the “Brigada Eskwela” on Tuesday, July 23, despite continuous heavy rains brought by typhoon "Carina".

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano led the Brigada Eskwela activity. She was joined by teachers, school personnel, parents and city hall officials at the Padre Zamora Elementary School.

Rubiano said the group cleaned and painted the chairs and tables in all the classrooms.

“Dito po sa Pasay, ang edukasyon ay isa sa mga nangunguna sa listahan ng ating mga prayoridad at mga proyekto. Tayo po sa LGU ay nagsisikap upang makapagbigay ng dekalidad na edukasyon sa bawat Pasayeño,” (Education is very important in Pasay City. The city government is working hard to give each Pasay resident quality education), Rubiano said.
