NPA medic surrenders in Nueva Vizcaya

CAMP Major Saturnino L. Dumlao, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya – A 50-year-old female New People’s Army medic surrendered to the police in Barangay Calitlitan, Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya on July 21.

The surrenderer, alias Ness and Buddy, under the command of Venerando Villacillo, said she was recruited in 1987 and trained on acupuncture.

She was later assigned as medic for the NPA operating in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino.

Ness said that she was a recruiter and conducted meetings in Nueva Vizcaya before going into hiding.

She is currently under the custody of the Aritao police station before turnover to the 2nd Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Mobile Force Company for debriefing.

Nueva Vizcaya police chief Police Col. Camlon Nasdoman urged communist rebels in the province to return to the fold of the law.
