Italian-Canadian actor Nico Locco revealed that he and his girlfriend, actress Christine Bermas, were "working things out" one month after appearing on the "EXpecially For You" segment of It's Showtime last June.

During an interview at Wing Zone in Araneta City on July 20, Nico admitted that he had learned from his mistakes.

"I learned well from it. Honest ako sa sarili ko and honest ako sa show. I didn't hold anything back. Sabi ko nga, may lessons ako dun. Walang is perfect sa mundo, and I have learned from my mistakes. So, it's a blessing in disguise.

"Mistake yung ginawa ko pero hindi mistake yung sinabi ko sa 'It's Showtime' because it's all factual," Nico said.

It woiuld be recalled that following his appearance on "It's Showtime" with his girlfriend Christine, Nico shared a rant on Facebook, which fans believe alluded to Vice Ganda.

“If you have to make fun of people and take personal shots at them palagi to make people laugh, it’s sooo not funny. Para sa akin, it’s simply a lack of intelligence and creativity. I’m so tired of seeing it pa ulit ulit on TV," Nico shared.

The actor-host said he has changed and learned so many things about himself. "I'm on this path of getting better. Kung hindi nangyari yan I won't be here."

He added: "It was hard being bashed, and until now, bina-bash ako. But that's okay. That's part of it. Wala akong regrets doing the show. It is what it is, and nangyari na." 

Nico, 28, also shared his response when asked if he would be willing to make another appearance on the popular midday show.

"Hindi ko alam. Pero okay lang naman. I never closed my doors. Pero siyempre depende sa opportunities," he said.

Nico also talked about the latest score on his relationship with Christine.

"We're working on things. Pero siguro I will leave at that. I don't want to jinx anything. Like what I've said hindi ako perfect pati na rin si Christine. Sinabi ko sa kanya na we have two options: it's either we separate or we fix it. Feeling ko sa buhay ngayon people just give up. Ayoko mag-give up. I am always looking for improvement.

"We considered it and discussed whether we needed to give it another shot. It was a collective decision; we will try uli," he said.

One month after the show, Nico and Christine gave their relationship another shot. "It was hard for both of us. We were going through our battles, so sabi ko, let's reflect. I also needed time to reflect on myself kung ano talaga ang gusto ko."

Nico said he had four serious relationships but his relationship with Christine is different.

"Gusto ko yung ugali niya (Christine). Sobrang maasikaso at mapagmahal. I based things on my feelings on how I consider her. Parang, it's the first time I've felt those feelings for somebody. Kaya sobrang love ko si Christine. Iba talaga yung feeling. It's hard to describe but the feeling is right.

"Before in my past relationships, I just walked away dahil tapos na. But this one, gusto kong lumaban," Nico said.

Nico said temptation was the cause of their recent breakup before they decided to give it another try.

"Temptation is always the hardest thing. Mahirap maging gwapo," he laughed.

"But seriously, mahirap labanan ang temptation pero lumalaban ako everyday. But sometimes kasio may mga weak points tayo. I don't want to say na smooth ang relationship namin, but there came a point na we were not talking. Feeling ko doon ako na fall sa temptation. Pero di ba dapat, we should avoid temptation at all costs.

"But I want the people to know that our relationship with Christine is special. Marami akong natutunan rito, that's why I always say everything happens for a reason. I'm not bad about what happened. 

"Like I said, if I don't learn from it, kasalanan ko na. People say I didn't learn, but I did learn. I think maraming lalaki na dumaan sila sa ganitong phase but again, there's always a next chapter and feeling ko, pumasok na ako sa bagong chapter," Nico added.
