Manila LGU suspends F2F classes in private schools due to heavy rains
The local government of Manila suspended face-to-face classes in private schools in the city, both elementary and high school levels, on Tuesday, July 23, due to the yellow rainfall warning issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The suspension was also recommended by the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), as it announced a heavy yellow rainfall as of 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
“Kasalukuyang nakakaranas ng malakas na pag-ulan ang Lungsod, dahil dito ay itinaas muli ng PAGASA ang yellow rainfall warning sa Metro Manila (The city is currently experiencing heavy rainfall, so as a result, the PAGASA has once again issued a yellow rainfall warning for Metro Manila),” is stated.
The Manila DRRMO said that the rain may last for two to three hours.
It also reminded residents to stay alert for possible sudden flooding.
