Mandaluyong City Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos led the distribution together with other city officials.
The rubber shoes, uniforms, and school supplies were received by the Schools Division Office-Mandaluyong (SDO) tasked with distributing the materials to the students.
"Ang mga bagong rubber shoes ay karagdagan sa leather shoes na naibigay na ng pamahalaang lungsod sa mga estudyante, gayundin ang mga school supplies tulad ng bag, diary, notebook, uniporme at medyas (The new rubber shoes is in addition to the leather shoes that was earlier given by the city government to students, as well as other school supplies such as bags, diaries, notebooks, uniforms, and socks)," the city government said.
"Lahat nang gagamitin ng mga kabataang Mandaleño sa kanilang pag-aaral ay atin na pong kinumpleto. Wala na po silang gagawin kundi papasok at mag-aral sa kani-kanilang mga eskwelahan (We have already completed all school materials that will be used by our Mandaleño youth in their studies. All they have to do now is to go to school and study diligently)," Abalos said.
Go Bags will also be distributed to all students that they may use in case of calamities and disasters.
The local government unit (LGU) explained that the city government, led by Mayor Ben Abalos, regularly allocates funds for the free school supplies and uniforms of students as part of its efforts in assisting their parents on their educational needs.
Mandaluyong City also distributed tablets, printers, and other equipment to the SDO to be distributed to schools for their respective offices and laboratories.
