Las Piñas, Parañaque, Pasay LGUs announce class, work suspension amid heavy rains
The city governments of Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Pasay have announced the suspension of afternoon classes in its public and private schools due to Typhoon Carina on Tuesday, July 23.

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilat ordered the suspension of afternoon classes based on the recommendation of the Las Piñas Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office due to heavy rains being experienced brought about by Typhoon Carina.

In Pasay City, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano also ordered the suspension of face-to-face and online classes in all levels in public and private schools.

In Parañaque City, Mayor Eric Olivarez ordered the class and work suspension in the city based on the recommendation of the Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (DRRMO).
The work suspension at the City Hall started at 1:00 p.m. for the safety of every employees.
The mayor said only offices that deliver basic services will be open.
