Drug suspect yields P2.1M marijuana in Dasmarinas, Cavite

CAVITE - A drug suspect yielded P2.1 million worth of suspected marijuana in a buy-bust in Dasmariñas City on July 19.

In a statement released on Saturday, July 20, Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the suspect as alias Bob, 35 years old.

Acting on intelligence information received, the joint buy-bust operation was conducted by Dasmariñas Component City Police Station (CCPS), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group-4A Special Operation Unit Cavite, and Regional Intelligence Unit 4A-Provincial Intelligence Team Cavite.

Alias Bob is now under the custody of Dasmariñas CCPS and is facing drug charges.

The pieces of evidence, meanwhile, were brought to the Provincial Forensic Unit in Imus City for chemical examination.

In a statement, Police Regional Office 4A Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas commended the people behind the successful sting operation.
