NBI nabs 2 drug pushers in Iligan City


ILIGAN CITY – The National Bureau of Investigation arrested two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Purok 9, Barangay Pala-o, this city, on Saturday night, July 20.

NBI-Iligan District Office chief Medrobel P. Ylanan identified the suspect as Arsanie A. Macabantog of Barangay Pagalongan, Maguing, Lanao del Sur, and Abdul Aziz H. Mohaiden, of Barangay Campong, Bayang, Lanao del Sur.

Ylanan said the suspects were considered as high-value individuals by the NBI and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Among those recovered from the suspects were one green tea bag with Chinese characters in a transparent plastic cellophane containing suspected shabu weighing one kilo worth P6.8 million, boodle money, brown envelope, plastic cellophane, bags, a car, and mobile phones.

Pieces of evidence will be forwarded to the PDEA-Regional Office 10 here for quantitative and qualitative examinations.

The suspects face drug-related cases.
