Lady jail visitor yields Ecstasy

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna – A lady jail visitor was apprehended after police found four suspected tablets of Ecstasy hidden in her bra at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology detention facility in Barangay San Gregorio, this city, on Saturday afternoon, July 20.

Police identified the suspect as Elsie, a resident of this city.

Investigation said the suspect was frisked as part of procedure before being allowed entry to visit her live-in partner who was jailed for violating the Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

However, four tablets of suspected Ecstasy in a plastic sachet were discovered in her upper inner garment.

She was taken into custody and turned over to the police and faces drug-related charges.
