Introducing the Philippines' 'Best Bar'

The Curator ranks 33rd at Asia's 50 Best Bars Awards

As people from all corners of the world gathered at Hong Kong’s Rosewood Hotel, cheers went all around in the room as Makati’s The Curator bar received the Best Bar in the Philippines Award for 2024 during Asia’s 50 Best Bars Awards. Placing 33rd on the list, the premier speak-easy climbed up one spot on the list. This also marks the eight time for The Curator to make the list.

Established in 2013 by four friends (Jericson Co, Tiffany Yu, Bernice Tiu, and David Ong), The Curator is considered a fan-favorite for bar hoppers and coffee lovers in the area. Guests can expect to enjoy their caffeine fix with a kick by having a go at The Curator’s caffeinated and mixed drinks. Split into two, the front space offers a pleasant café experience, providing visitors a selection of artisanal coffee from all around Asia. In the back, you’ll find yourself transported to cocktail heaven.

As for this year’s grand champion, Hong Kong takes the top prize yet again as Bar Leone nabs first place after beating out South Korea’s Zest. Located in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central district, Bar Leone offers a mix of Italian charm and a Hong Kong flair, with Lorenzo Antinori taking the helm. It takes home a whopping three awards, the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award, The Best Bar in Hong Kong, and The Best Bar in Asia 2024. Patrons can best enjoy the bar’s many Italian spirits and exceptional bar snacks.
