Ayala Malls reinforces data privacy measures

Property giant Ayala Land Inc. reported that its rental leasing unit, Ayala Malls, has reinforced customer data privacy measures to ensure a secure shopping environment across all its properties.

In a statement, the firm said that, with increasing attention to data protection, this initiative aligns with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) regulations and underscores Ayala Malls’ commitment to protecting personal information collected during transactions.

Ayala Malls ensures its data security practices adhere strictly to NPC regulations and guidelines. These practices include regular data security audits, transparent data handling processes, and comprehensive employee training programs.

Additionally, Ayala Malls collaborates with its merchant partners and tenants to ensure that all establishments within its malls comply with NPC data privacy standards.

Looking ahead, Ayala Malls remains vigilant in protecting its customers and supports the NPC’s efforts to promote awareness of the importance of data privacy practices.

On July 23, the National Privacy Commission will visit U.P. Town Center, where establishments will prominently display the NPC Seal of Registration and data privacy and CCTV notices in their stores.

“Ayala Malls is committed to making shopping and dining a safe and secure space for our valued customers and the general public in all Ayala Malls nationwide,” said Ayala Malls Chief Operating Officer Paul Birkett.

He noted that, by prioritizing data privacy, Ayala Malls not only complies with regulatory standards but also builds trust and confidence among its customers, reinforcing its position as a leading player in the retail and commercial leasing sector.
