The Quezon City local government announced on Saturday, July 20, that it will implement a liquor ban during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday, July 22.

According to the city government, the liquor ban will be in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The measure aims to ensure peace and order in the city during the event.
The local government has announced the cancellation of classes in private schools.

Also, the "Brigada Eskwela" activities in all public schools have been canceled.
The cancellation of classes aims to encourage students to listen to the President's SONA and to reduce traffic congestion in the city.
