BACOLOD CITY – Commander Jansen Benjamin was installed in concurrent capacity as the new head of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Northern Negros Occidental on Friday, July 19.

Capt. Weniel Azcuna, district commander of Coast Guard District Western Visayas, presided over the turnover ceremony at their headquarters in Lapuz, Iloilo City on Friday.
Benjamin replaced Copmmander Paterno Belarmino, who served PCG-Northern Negros Occidental for a few months.
Benjamin is commander of the PCG-Search and Rescue (SAR) based in Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.
He also led the PCG-Negros Occidental in 2019 before it was divided into two areas.
Belarmino was transferred to the PCG national headquarters in Manila.
