Top Philippine billionaire Manuel B. Villar Jr. announced the launch of the next phase of development for the 3,500-hectare megapolis Villar City—his most ambitious and most promising project to date.

“One year after we launched Villar City, we are now firming up plans for two golf courses, a church, an events arena, a prestigious university, an integrated entertainment complex, a partnership with a renowned hospital, and more road networks to cut travel time across Cavite and Metro Manila, among other features,” he said.

Villar noted that “these components will be spread throughout Villar City to cater to the evolving needs not only of today’s market but also those of the next generation of homeowners.”

According to the real estate magnate, this new phase marks his commitment to sustain the development of Villar City, an emerging, expansive megalopolis that connects 15 towns and cities across Metro Manila and Cavite.

Launched in August last year, this massive integrated development is envisioned to become a thriving nexus where economic, lifestyle, cultural, and leisure activities will converge.

Rising amid 10 million trees, 100 cafes, and verdant pocket parks, this burgeoning community will feature modern districts, including a CBD, a Tech Valley, a university town, and a premier lifestyle hub, along with leisure and recreational facilities meant to nurture health and well-being.

“We carefully selected the different components that will be included in Villar City to ensure that future residents and workers will get to live in a safe and healthy, yet modern and complete environment, where they can be near nature, have access to lush open spaces, walk around the community freely, while still enjoying top tier facilities, leisure hubs, and other recreational options, all in an interconnected area,” Villar said.

This latest phase of development, in particular, anticipates the expected institutional and recreational needs of future communities in Villar City.

The golf courses, arena, and integrated entertainment complex with a casino will provide avenues for residents and guests to relax, unwind, or stay active. Meanwhile, the university and hospital will ensure convenient access to premier education and top-notch medical facilities without leaving this expansive community.

All these will complement the projects previously unveiled and completed in this mega city.

To recall, the Villar Group opened last year a crucial infrastructure in Villar City—the 10-km, 10-lane Villar Avenue that connects Las Piñas, Bacoor, and the university district of Dasmariñas City in Cavite.

Through Prime Asset Ventures Inc. (PAVI), Villar’s privately held power and infrastructure conglomerate, it also completed the P3.8-billion acquisition of the 4-kilometer Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX).

These two roads are critical to ensuring accessibility and connectivity to and within Villar City.

The group likewise unveiled last year its ultra-premium residential project in Villar City, Forresta, touted as a “city in the forest.”

This 119-hectare community being developed by Brittany—a brand under Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc., the real estate company founded by Villar—promises to be a beautiful, exclusive oasis in Cavite. Its initial offering was for premium lots ranging from 857 sqm to 1,461 sqm.

Complementing it is the Forresta Cafe, which opened in December 2023. Standing sleek and modern with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows, Forresta Cafe presents a unique blend of sophistication and nature’s allure that you can readily indulge in while enjoying its delectable selection of local fare, teas, and coffees.

Brittany Hotel, meanwhile, is Villar City’s newest crown jewel. Opened in March this year, this upscale boutique hotel offers guests indulgences ranging from well-appointed rooms to luxurious facilities to exquisite dining experiences.

Currently, close to 900 hectares of the 3,500-hectare Villar City have been “activated” or developed by Vista Land. These developed areas are home to neighborhoods, shopping complexes, and offices.

“We’ve only just begun our work. This will take many years—even decades—to complete. But we’re already laying the groundwork, filling up this beautiful blank canvas to create the new center of gravity of Metro Manila,” Villar said.
