DAVAO CITY – Mati City Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat assured the people of the city on Tuesday that she is alright despite two minor accidents in a span of days.

Rabat accidentally slipped while walking during the culminating ceremony of the 57th Araw ng Davao Oriental on July 1. She sustained an open fracture on her right ankle.
Rabat said before this, she also had another accident, in her house, last month that necessitated the use of a cane to assist her while walking.
“I would like to inform you about a personal matter regarding my health. I underwent a minor procedure last night (July 1) and am now recovering well,” Rabat said.
Rabat added that though her mobility is limited, she reassured the people that she remains fully committed to governing and advancing the city's development and progress.
“Thank you for your understanding, support, and prayers. I will update you on my progress and look forward to resuming my duties soon,” she said.
