Man arrested after yielding P700K shabu, gun, hand grenade in Tondo

The Manila Police District (MPD) seized over P700,000 worth of alleged shabu, a gun, and grenade from a 33-year-old man during a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila on Monday, July 1.


Police identified the suspect as Dennis Alon Jr., a resident of Tondo, Manila.


According to the police report, the man was collared along Isla Bungad, Isla Puting Bato, Barangay 20, Tondo Manila at 4:30 a.m.


The MPD-Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) confiscated a total of 105 grams of suspected shabu from Alon.


They also found in his possession a hand grenade and a caliber 9mm pistol with a magazine and three pieces of ammunition.


The suspect will face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive law on Firearms and Ammunition) and Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
