Members of the Las Piñas police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) implemented the serving of a search warrant which led to the arrest of a drug suspect listed in the police gallery as a street value individual (SLI) on Tuesday, July 2.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said Las Piñas City Police Chief Col. Sandro Tafalla reported the arrest of the suspect identified as alias Jomar, 35, of Barangay Talon Singko.
Tafalla said members of the SDEU implemented the serving of the search warrant for the arrest of the suspect at around 12:15 a.m. Alias Jomar had been the subject of complaints by his neighbors allegedly for being notorious with his illegal drug trade activities.
He said the members of the SDEU immediately served the search warrant issued by Judge Mildred Jacinto Marquez, Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court (RTC) 1st Vice Executive Judge.

The city police chief said SDEU operatives were able to confiscate from the suspect 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000 placed inside six plastic sachets and a black coin purse.
Taffala said the suspect was immediately detained at the police custodial facility and was charged for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
