MTPB suspends clamping, towing operations 'until further notice'

The Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) announced on Friday, July 19, that all towing and clamping operations in the city will be suspended "until further notice."

 

The suspension was made by the newly-appointed MTPB Officer-in-Charge, Narciso T. Diokno. 

 

Diokno said that he ordered the suspension because of “numerous complaints” and “in the interest of the service.” 

 

Diokno noted that the order is effective immediately.

 

He warned the public that whoever deliberately ignores the directive will be "dealt with immediately."
