Members of the Manila Police District (MPD) arrested a man for physical injury and vandalism along Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila on Thursday, July 18.
Police identified the suspect as alias “JR,” 53, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Antipolo City.
According to the police report, at around 5 p.m. the suspect along with his group was about to end their demonstration.
The suspect suddenly brought out his spray paint and sprayed it on the concrete wall of the Department of Justice (DOJ).
A certain alias “KP,” a security guard, witnessed his action and he was confronted immediately.
However, the suspect used his spray paint can to hit the guard on his forehead which caused injury.
The responding police officers immediately apprehended the suspect, while the security guard was rushed to the nearest hospital for proper treatment.
The suspect was brought to Ermita Police Station 5 for investigation.
