Kapuso star Jennylyn Mercado has confirmed that she was not offered a transfer to other television networks as negotiations for her contract with GMA Network continue.

Jennylyn confirmed the news when she was announced as the latest celebrity endorser for the famous beauty brand Beautederm during a grand launch held at Solaire North in Quezon City on July 18. Beautederm President and CEO Rei Anicoche Tan warmly welcomed her.

"Meron pa rin mga negotiations pero mabilis na po iyan. We're just waiting for the contract. Pinag-uusapan pa ang contract," she said.

I'm very thankful na hanggang ngayon ako po ay Kapuso pa rin," she said.

"Sa GMA wala pa akong next project pero may gagawin kaming movie kasama si Dennis Trillo at Sam (Milby) under Creations. I think lalabas na this year," the actress said.

Asked if she was offered to transfer to rival networks, Jennylyn laughed and said: "Yung managers ko na lang po ang tanungin. Pero sa ibang network, wala naman pong offers."

Jennylyn, 37, is the wife of actor Dennis Trillo. She is a freelance artist these days.

On July 2, Becky Aguila, artist manager and founder of Aguila Entertainment, clarified rumors about Jennylyn's network transfer and absence in GMA Network's latest Station ID. She wrote:

"I just want to clarify to those who keep on insinuating re the issue of network transfer that Jennylyn is a loyal artist of GMA and will always remain loyal for as long as her mother network wants her to stay.

"She was absent from the station ID simply because she was unavailable that day. Rest assured, GMA extended an invitation to her, which we would very much appreciate," the statement read.

At the same event, Jennylyn said she and her husband, actor Dennis Trillo, have launched Brightburn Entertainment.

Jenylyn wrote in her post, "After 20 years in the industry, Dennis and I are trying on new hats, this time as producers, as we formally established our own production company called Brightburn Entertainment.

"We are very excited about this and just want to share with you these photos…our first official meeting as a team with no less than Netflix Philippines. Thank you so much, sir Vitto, Bene, and Luis, for spending some time with us and discussing opportunities we can explore in the future. I look forward to working with all of you!"

Jennylyn said the team will announce the first project with Netflix soon. "Meron na pero hindi ko pa po pwedeng sabihin. We will announce it soon."

Grateful

Rei mentioned that, in September, another celebrity will join Beautederm as a brand endorser. She talked highly of Jennylyn, who joined the Beautederm family, as the female executive mentioned how she chooses her brand endorsers.

"Basta dapat mabait. Marunong na ako mag-research ngayon. Kung mabait ba yan? Pero ang napansin ko kay Jen sumasabay siya sa mga staff niyang kumain.

"Kumakain talaga siya pantry na kasama ang staff. Pero I did my research at napakabait talaga ni Jennylyn. Dapat noon pa ito kaso nabuntis siya pero hinintay ko talaga siya.

"Hindi lang talaga maganda ang kanyang face kundi may puso. Very happy ako sa roster of celebrity endorsers ngayon ng Beautederm. May sasali pa sa atin sa September. May dadagdag pa. If not for them walang Beautederm. Kaya I'm grateful sa lahat ng babies ko," said Rei.
