LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Police Regional Office-5 will enforce a one-day total gun ban as part of the security measures for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s third State-of-the-Nation Address on July 22.

Police Brig. Gen. Andre P. Dizon, PRO-5 director, said that gun owners are not allowed to carry their firearms outside residences during the SONA.
The gun ban will be imposed from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 a.m. on July 22, he said.
Dizon added that they are on red alert status and their civil disturbance management units are ready for the SONA since July 17 in line with security measures. Personnel are also on call for the SONA, he added.
Dizon said that police visibility in all major places in the region will be stepped up to ensure peace and order during the SONA.
