Veteran Francis Casey Alcantara and Thai partner Maximus Jones stayed hot after dismantling Indian bets Dhakshineswar Suresh and Rishi Reddy, 7-6 (4), 6-3, to march into the quarterfinals of the ITF Thailand F6 Doubles at Walailak University Tennis Centre recently.

Alcantara and Jones overcame a huge scare in the first set before gaining enough steam to hold off Suresh and Reddy in the $15,000 (around P870,000) men’s competition.
It was a repeat of success for the Filipino-Thai pair after they outclassed their Indian rivals in the ITF M5 Nakhon Si Thammarat finals last weekend.
Up next for Alcantara and Jones are hometown bets Kasidit Samrej and Pawit Sornlaksup.
Samrej and Sornlaksup toppled fellow Thai bets in Thanaphat Boosarawongse and Poonthong Komopisut, 6-3, 6-2, in the opening round.
