Parañaque DRRMO holds pre-disaster risk assessment analyst group orientation

The Parañaque City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) conducted pre-disaster risk assessment analyst group orientation on Wednesday, July 17. 

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the orientation led by DRRMO Head Teodoro B. Gonzalez, Jr., M.D. was participated by different government offices including Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police-Parañaque, Bureau of Fire and Protection-Parañaque, City Social Welfare and Development office (CSWD), City Health Office, City Engineering, City Environmental and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), Schools Division Office, Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO), Public Information Office (PIO) and General Services Office (GSO).

Olivarez said the orientation was conducted to strengthen and improve the city’s preparedness in case of any calamity or disaster that may occur like typhoon, earthquake, tsunami and other natural disaster in accordance to Executive Order 2023-06.

He said the EO directs the creation of Parañaque Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment Core Group and Analyst Group providing guidelines and duties in the conduct of preparedness in any disaster that may occur in the city.

The mayor said during the orientation that the group discussed strategies and preparation especially the coordination with the  Modified Tropical Cyclone Warning System of Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
