More medical professionals will be deployed to Romblon in a bid to address the healthcare situation in the province, President Marcos said.

The Department of Health (DOH), Marcos said, is working with the local government of Romblon to improve and modernize its healthcare system.
"Ukol naman sa suliranin sa serbisyong pangkalusugan sa inyong lalawigan, ang Department of Health ay aktibong nakikipagtulungan sa inyong mga lokal na pamahalaan upang mapaayos at maging moderno ang inyong mga healthcare facilities at madagdagan ang mga medical professionals, specialists, at healthcare workers sa inyong lugar (On the problems of healthcare services in your province, the DOH is actively working with your local government to improve and modernize your healthcare facilities and to increase medical professionals, specialists, and healthcare workers in your place)," Marcos said in his speech read by Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. on Thursday, July 18, during the distribution of assistance.
He cited the new Super Health Center in Magdiwang, Sibuyan Island, which was opened in April this year.
In his speech, the President also assured the people of Romblon of the government's effort to bring public service to all Filipinos.
Meanwhile, a total of P952.660 million in financial assistance, services, loan assistance, and subsidies from the government was distributed by Marcos to farmers and fisherfolk affected by the El Niño crisis in Palawan and Marinduque.
Of the figure, a total of P99.13 million in financial aids were distributed by the President to Palawan (P50 million), Puerto Princesa (P10 million) and Marinduque (P39.13 million).
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also extended P10,000 each to 6,043 beneficiaries of the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) program, or a total of P60.43 million.
The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) gave P8.4 million for operations and maintenance subsidy of the irrigator’s association and P533.66 million worth of certificates of condonation and exemption for landowners.
The NIA also provided irrigation projects worth P201 million for farmers in Papualan, Sumbiling, Timburan, Bagong Bayan, and Apurawan.
On the other hand, the Agriculture Credit Policy Council (ACPC) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) allotted P20 million for the Survival and Recovery Program and P30 million for the Agri-Negosyo Loan Program.
