Team Lakay once again meets old foe and ranked No. 5 bantamweight MMA contender Enkh Orgil Baatarkhuu, and the squad just might have the most feral of the bunch to win one back over the rugged Mongolian powerhouse.

This time, it’s dangerous Carlo “The Bull” Bumina-ang who’ll take a shot at the man known locally as “The Filipino Hunter” when they clash at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on August 3 inside Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Bumina-ang was supposed to make his ONE Championship main roster debut against Asa Ten Pow at this event, but the American striker had to pull out, giving Baatarkhuu the chance to jump in.
The Mongolian made a name for himself in ONE by stopping Filipinos – two of whom come from Bumina-ang’s camp.
Baatarkhuu debuted by dominating Team Lakay’s Adonis Sevilleno before taking another Pinoy’s head in Rockie Bactol with a buzzer-beating first-round TKO.
His biggest conquest came months later when he gave Team Lakay prodigy and second-generation MMA star Jhanlo Sangiao the first loss of his career after a shaky first round to get the round two submission win.
He finally tasted defeat at the hands of #4-ranked Artem Belakh, losing via TKO in the second round of what was another crazy fight.
After all his success against Pinoys, the man Mark Sangiao christened as “The Bull” might just be the answer that fans have been waiting for to solve the hulking Baatarkhuu.
Bumina-ang has shown power in his hands and a finishing instinct wherever the fight goes – evident in his two submission wins in ONE Friday Fights.
More importantly, “The Bull” has already been tested as he went through a war against Denis Andreev, and even in his contract-winning victory over Chayan Oorzhak he got clipped plenty of times before getting the finish.
Now there’s no better way for Bumina-ang to prove that he’s ready for the main roster by beating a guy who’s already taken out three of his countrymen.
