Tayabas City launches 3 digital projects


TAYABAS CITY, Quezon – Mayor Lovely Reynoso-Pontioso launched three projects during the Digital Tayabas City Day at the atrium of the new city hall on Wednesday, July 17.

These were: 

The Integrated Barangay Civil Registration System (iBCRIS) Project;

A digital payment scheme formalized by a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the city government, GCash, and Land Bank of the Philippines;

The city free public WiFi Phase 2 with the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development.

The digitalization projects are in preparation for Tayabas becoming a Smart City.

The event was graced by former Senators Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino and human rights lawyer Chel Diokno.

Theme of the event was "Unveiling the  Digital Transformation of the City of Tayabas."
