Marbil orders intensified campaign vs high-value criminals, wanted persons
Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), ordered on Wednesday, July 17, all police units across the country to further intensify the campaign against high-value criminals and wanted persons.
Marbil explained that his order is part of the broader campaign to enhance national security and ensure a safer environment for all citizens in all cities and municipalities nationwide.
“Our paramount objective is the safety and security of every Filipino family and community. By apprehending these criminals, we are making significant strides in ensuring that our citizens can live without fear and in peace,” said Marbil.
Marbil emphasized the importance of accounting for all wanted persons and high-value criminals amid the ongoing preparations for the 2025 midterm elections.
An essential tool in these operations, according to him, has been the PNP’s e-warrant system.
He said the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management reported that 73,337 warrants of arrest have been uploaded, with the majority successfully served by police units.
“The e-warrant system allows for real-time access and swift dissemination of critical information, significantly enhancing our ability to track and apprehend wanted persons efficiently,” said Marbil.
