ILOILO CITY – Heavy rain that lasted for more than an hour flooded 47 barangays here on Wednesday, July 17.

The Iloilo City Emergency Operations Center said six of the seven districts were affected by flooding as of 6 p.m.
City Proper had 15 flooded barangays. These were Jalandoni Wilson, Muelle Loney, Roxas, Tanza Timawa I, Tanza Timawa II, Baybay Tanza, Inday, Rizal Estanzuela, San Jose, Tanza Esperanza Zone 1, Sampaguita, Nonoy, Flores, Kahirupan, and Arsenal Aduana.
Mandurriao had 11 flooded barangays. These were Navais, Oñate de Leon, Airport, Tabucan, Santa Rosa, Q. Abeto, Pali Benedicto, PHHC Block 17, PHHC Block 22, Taft North, and Bolilao.
Jaro had seven flooded barangays. These were Calubihan Zone 2, San Jose, Dungon A, Dungon B, Seminario, San Vicente, and CC El 98.
Molo had six flooded barangays. These were San Juan, Poblacion, East Timawa, Katilingban, North San Jose, and South San Jose.
There were five flooded barangays in La Paz district. These were Divinagracia, Jereos, Lopez Jaena Sur, Nabitasan, and Railway.
Lapuz District had three flooded barangays: Lapuz Norte, Sinikway, and Don Esteban.
