In case you’re living under a rock, social media star Devin Halbal, a.k.a Hal Baddie, a.k.a. Tiktok’s “Kudasai” queen, is here in Manila—and she is spreading good vibes!
Known for her travel videos and her viral "Met Gala Behaviour” and "doll check-in" content, Devin has been one of the rising stars of social media platform Tiktok. Since her online domination, the 26-year-old has been featured in magazines such as Elle Singapore, Rolling Stone, and L’Officiel Hong Kong. But there is more to her than her hilarious clips. Devin, a proud transwoman, is a transgender rights and community support activist and also a writer.
After visiting South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia, the American internet sensation made her way to the Philippines for a casual meet-and-greet with her fans. During the event held at SM Mall of Asia, she mingled and “doll check-in” with her fans wearing a piece created by fashion designer Carl Jan Cruz and Jos Mundo heels.
What makes her Manila visit even more memorable is that July is her birth month. On July 16, she marked her 26th birthday with what she described as her “birthday tulips” look. She wore an all-pink look courtesy of Carl Jan Cruz, Supergirl, and some pieces she shopped from her past travels.
Apart from her meet-and-greet, Devin made an appearance at Carl Jan Cruz’s collection launch at Silverlens in Makati City and had a short but sweet kiki with Butterboy founders Hilder Demeterio and Jayson So.
“I’m going to start crying because the Philippines has been one of my biggest supporters since the “Doll check-in" era,” Devin posted.
“You guys were my first supporters and my first love,” she said in a separate Tiktok post.
