Being in the entertainment industry for almost a decade, award-winning actor Aga Muhlach never expected to eventually work with his kids, Andres and Atasha Muhlach.

During the grand media conference of their sitcom ''De Pers Family", held at TV 5 media center in Mandaluyong on July 15, Aga gets candid relating his experience working with Andres for the first time, citing a particular scene.

"Meron isang beses nawala siya sa isang eksena -- sasabihin ko na, para mawala yung nerbyos mo. Kasi kapag may eksena kami ni Andres hindi talaga ako natingin sa kanya, kasi kapag umarte ako ng diretso sa kanya iniisip ko, 'sana mabitawan niya na yung linya.' Kaya niya naman kaso Tagalog nga, so ito na, sasabihin niya na yung line tapos tumigil siya, nag-pause tapos tumuloy," Aga said during the interview.

(There was one time he got lost in a scene -- I'll just tell this story to get rid of your nerves. When I do a scene with Andres, I don't look at him, because when I do, I'm already thinking, 'I hope he can deliver his line.' He could but it's in Tagalog so, just when he was about to say his line, he paused and then continued)

Aga shared that he felt pretty bad for Andres after the take because he saw how affected he was about making a mistake.

"Talagang naawa ako, kasi nakita ko nagkamali siya nanginig yung kamay niya. Diba [points at Andres]? Naalala mo yung scene na yun? Kasi naiilang ata siya kapag the whole cast was in the scene. Parang ako nung bata ako nako-conscious ako kapag kasama yung mga seniors. Kaya sabi ko sa kanya pag-uwi namin alisin mo na yang nerbyos na yan kasi magaling ka naman," Aga added.

(I felt sorry for him, because I saw that when he made that mistake, his hand was shaking. Wasn't it [points at Andres]? Do you remember that scene? I think he becomes self-conscious when the whole cast is involved in the same scene, and I remember being self-conscious as well back when I was younger whenever I was around senior actors. That's why I told him when we got home to get rid of that nervousness because he is a good actor)

Charlene commented, "In fairness mahirap talaga siya kasi imagine first time ka aarte, tapos kasama mo yung great actors and actresses kaya nakakaba talaga siya, but Andres did well on this show."

(In fairness, it is really difficult because imagine, he's acting for the first time and with great actors and actresses so it is quite nerve-wracking but Andres did well on this show)

"Da Pers Family" follows the story of the Persival family as played by Aga, Charlene and their kids.

In the show, they have a struggling bakery business, The Bake Haus of You, which Aga’s former BFF (portrayed by Roderick Paulate) is trying to compete with.

Also starring Bayani Agbayani, Ces Quesada, Heart Ryan, Chad Kinis, Kedebon Colim, Sam Coloso, and more, "Da Pers Family," as directed Danni Caparas, airs Sundays starting July 21, 7:15pm on TV5, with catch-up airings on Sari-Sari Channel, Mondays at 7pm.
