Las Piñas VM Aguilar promotes peanut butter made by female PDLs

Las Piñas City's Vice-Mayor April Aguilar is making a sales pitch for the peanut butter made by persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) as part of the livelihood program given to them by the city government.

Aguilar said the Las Piñas City Jail Female Dormitory, with support from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), provides livelihood program to women PDLs which is part of their rehabilitation while inside the jail and their reintegration to society.

The vice-mayor also emphasized the importance of the program stating that providing opportunities for skills development and income generation is essential in helping PDLs rebuild their lives.

Aguilar also noted the positive impact of such initiatives on the lives of the PDLs and praised them for their hard work and dedication.

She said the peanut butter is available in 300g and 450g jars, priced at ₱100 and ₱150, respectively. Orders can be placed through 0921-839-6778 or 0905-243-9727. Each purchase directly supports the livelihood and future of the PDLs, providing them with hope and the means to start anew.
