‘Estudyanteng Valenzuelano starter pack’: Valenzuela LGU to distribute school kits

The Valenzuela City government said that students will receive two sets of uniforms and school kit starter packs for the upcoming school year 2024-2025.

The local government said the beneficiaries are from the 42 public schools in the city.

According to the city government, a school kit includes a backpack, eight pieces of notebooks, Math and English textbooks, ruler, intermediate pad, a pencil case with crayons, pencils, pens, eraser, and sharpener, tumbler, and lunch box.

The students will also receive two sets of uniforms: white blouse with blue plaid skirt and ribbon with "Tuloy ang Progreso, Valenzuela" patch for the girls, and white polo and navy blue shorts or pants for boys with patch. 

In a post on Valenzuela City’s official Facebook page on Tuesday, July 16, the city government stated that the program aims to help the parents in provindng their children the necessary learning materials.

It added that the initiative has a total cost of P177,000,000.

The city government also aims to distribute the school kits to 80,000 kinder, elementary, and special education (SPED) students in the city this year.

The distribution will continue until July 27, in preparation for the start of classes on July 29.

Also, a ceremonial distribution will be held on July 23, led by Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie “Wes” Gatchalian, the city’s public information office said.
