Pasay LGU, Council for the Welfare of Children sign agreement for Makabata Helpline 1383

The city government of Pasay signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Council for Welfare of Children (CWC) to promote “Makabata Helpline 1383”, which aims to protect children and the youth from any form of danger and violence.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and CWC Undersecretary Angelo Tapales led the signing of MOU held on Monday, July 15.

Rubiano said the city government and CWC agreed to promote “Makabata Helpline 1383” in the city, which can receive reports, complaints and information concerning the rights and welfare of children and the youths in the city.

The city government and the CWC will outline a safer environment for the youngsters so they can reach their goals and become productive members of the community.

The mayor also said the initiative is a collective responsibility of the local and national government to strengthen the services and support to the health of the children and their families.
