7 drug pushers fall in Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur

BUTUAN CITY – Police arrested seven suspected drug pushers in Surigao del Sur and Agusan del Sur over the weekend.

Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro  said Lan, Vol, and Char were caught in Purok Golden River, Barangay Dagocdoc, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.

The suspects were collared through a search warrant for violating Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) and RA No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) issued by the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 41, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.

Moy was nabbed through a search warrant for violation of RA  9165 in Barangay Parang, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.

Kam, Boy, and Vel were arrested in the Talacogon, Sibagat, and San Francisco, all in Agusan del Sur province, in buy-bust operations.

Nazarro commended police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency  for their achievements.

"I laud the unwavering partnership of PNP-Caraga and PDEA in hunting down these drug suspects and putting them behind the bar of justice,” he said. “Our campaign has been intensified to trace and capture those individuals involved in the illegal drug trade."
