These are the bag trends you should know about

Explore the latest bag styles with Italian luxury bag brand Biagini

Every style savant would agree that they are never fully dressed without the perfect arm candy. Whether it is a tiny piece that dangles across the body or a slouchy one for a more chill vibe, a bag can definitely elevate one’s look, making it the perfect finishing touch.

Much like in apparel, the fashion industry loves to play with trends when it comes to bags. For this season, the must-wear pieces include bags with look-at-me hues, rounded shapes, and different fabrications, among others. We saw many of today’s bag trends during the launch of Biagini, the newest Italian luxury bag brand added to multi-brand store Corso Como 88’s portfolio.

Founded in 1968, Biagini is known for its wide range of leather goods, including wallets, belts, and bags for both men and women. Corso Como 88’s founder Imelda Menguito-Sciandra discovered it while shopping in Italy and instantly fell in love with its pieces. She decided to bring it to the Philippines to share her passion for the brand with Filipinos.

“I discovered that the brand was from Modena, Italy. Eventually, I got to meet the owners of Biagini, the Amidei family, and they showed me how the bags were made,” she recalls. “I was impressed with the level of craftsmanship that goes into each bag and knew that I had to bring it to the Philippines. Biagini was something that had to be shared with Filipino bag enthusiasts.”

Below are some of the brand’s pieces that play with today’s bag trends. From pieces with an artistic touch to silhouettes perfect for everyday use, these Biagini bags will surely bring your style game up a notch.

When it comes to woven pieces, think of the ones made with natural fibers like the Le Grand Panier. This straw basket bag features leather handles and a removable pouch, making it perfect for exotic destinations or a casual stroll around the city.

Biagini’s Animal Charm line explores the beauty of fauna. Among its champion pieces are the Nemo Blue, Seashore Avio, and the Shell Bruciato, which are imbued with the beauty of the underwater world.
