Father, son killed in Zamboanga City landslide

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- A man and his son were killed and two others remain missing in a landslide caused by heavy rains here on Sunday morning, July 14.

A team composed of police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and barangay personnel are still searching the rubble to find missing persons as of posting time.

Heavy rains since Friday led to the landslide which destroyed two houses in Sitios Papaya and Anuling in Barangay Pamucutan.

Police said the body of Leonilo Moret, 46, and his son, Justine, 7, were found among the rubble in Sitio Anuling.

Search and retrieval operations are ongoing to find the two missing persons.
