The Caloocan City government on Monday, July 15, provided career coaching, life skills and technical training for fresh graduates and out-of-school youth in the city.

They also partnered with the Department of Labor and Employment to launch the “JobStart” program.
The training will be conducted for 10 days and the beneficiaries will receive P400 daily.
A total of 50 beneficiaries selected by the local government will undergo the training.
“Layunin din ng nasabing programa na magbigay ng oportunidad para sa ating mga kabataan, na magkaroon sila ng training at karanasan sa pagtratrabaho (The said program also aims to provide an opportunity for our youth to have training and work experience),” Mayor Dale Along Malapitan said.
“Magagamit nila ang kanilang mga natutunan upang maging epektibong empleyado, sa pribado nang organisasyon o sa gobyerno. Nais natin na maging ‘fully-equipped’ ang ating mga fresh grads, maging ang mga out-of-school youth sa kanilang mga kakaharapin sa pagbuo ng kami-kanilang career (They can use what they have learned to become effective employees in private organizations or in government. We want our fresh grads, even the out-of-school youth, to be 'fully-equipped' for what they will face in developing their careers),” he added.
The program aims to prepare the beneficiaries for workplace integration and refer them to potential employers.
