Byeon Woo-seok, Kim Chiu, Win Metawin top Outstanding Asian Star voting at Seoul Int'l Drama Awards

The voting for the Outstanding Asian Star and Outstanding Korean Drama OST (original soundtrack) at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 ended on July 14. 

The global voting was conducted through the “Idol Champ” app for the SDA 2024 from June 15 and July 14. 

Fans voted for Outstanding Asian Star (South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand) and Outstanding Korean Drama OST.

Seventeen BSS  (Pledis Entertainment)

Results showed that “Lovely” Runner” stars Byeon Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon topped the voting for Outstanding Asian Star: Korea Popularity Awards. 

In the male category of the Korea Popularity Award, Byeon Woo-seok won, garnering 49.53 percent of the votes. 

Placing second is “Queen of Tears” star Kim Soo-hyun with 47.87 percent followed by Cha Eun-woo of the drama “Wonderful World” with 1.35 percent. 

Chase Jong-hyeop of “Castaway Diva” grabbed fourth place with 0.43 percent followed by Lee Junho of “King the Land” with 0.28 percent. 

In the female category, Kim Hye-yoon grabbed first place with 51.07 percent of the votes while “Queen of Tears” star Kim Ji-won placed second with 48.19 percent. 

In third place is Kim You-jung of “My Demon” with 0.15 percent followed by Yoona (“King the Land”), 0.14 percent; and Park Eun-bin (“Castaway Diva”), 0.12 percent. 

For the Outstanding Korean drama OST, "The Reason of My Smiles” by Seventeen’s BSS ( DK, Hoshi, and Seungkwan) for the drama “Queen of Tears” took the top spot with 57.73 percent of the votes. 

Placing second is “In My Memory” by Red Velvet’s Seulgi for “Doctor Slump” with 19.59 percent.

Philippines 

For Outstanding Asian Star in the Philippines, Kim Chiu of “Deceit” won with 65.03 percent of the votes. 

Placing second is her co-star Paulo Avelino, 14.35 percent while grabbing third place is “Road Killers” star Nadine Lustre with 10.86 percent.

Thailand 

For Outstanding Asian Star in Thailand, the winner is actor Win Metawin of “Enigma” and “Beauty Newbie,” garnering 46.16 percent. 

He was followed by Chimon Wachirawit of “Home School” and “Dangerous Romance” with 43.86 percent, and Gun Atthaphan of “Home School” and “Cooking Crush” with 4.52 percent.

Indonesia

For Outstanding Asian Star in Indonesia, Ochi Rosdiana of “Love Without Cause” took first place with 45.85 percent. 

In second place is Achmad Megantara of “Love Without Cause” with 40.17 percent.

Malaysia

For Malaysia, the winner of the Outstanding Asian Star is Siti Saleha of “SeOfis” who got 51.58 percent of the votes. 

Garnering second place is Syafiq Kyle of “Doh” with 46.05 percent.

Singapore 

For Outstanding Asian Star in Singapore, the winner is Desmond Tan of “All That Glitters” and “Moments,” garnering 47.37 percent. 

He was followed by Leo Consul of “Kisses From Death” with 44.73 percent. 

The ceremony for the Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 will be held on Sept. 25.
