Man dies in Tondo stabbing incident; MPD hunts down suspect

The Manila Police District (MPD) is hunting down the suspect who stabbed a man multiple times in Tondo, Manila on Saturday, July 13.

Police identified the suspect as Hanson Rei Bautista, 21, a resident of Esmeralda Street, Tondo.

Initial investigation disclosed that the 34-year-old victim, Jessie Agonio, went outside his house at around 7 p.m. when the suspect appeared and suddenly ran towards him.

Witnesses said the suspect chased the victim to Kagitingan Street and was able to catch him.

The victim was stabbed multiple times in different parts of the body even after he fell down on the pavement.

Police said the suspect managed to escape.

The victim was rushed to Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival at about 7:30 p.m.
