Get a taste of the Japanese lifestyle at this pop-up 'konbini' store in BGC

Soup & Go is designed to make mornings convenient and nutritious

Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) has launched its first easy-to-make breakfast, Soup and Go, which takes less than a minute to prepare. The event took place at a pop-up "konbini" (a Japanese term for convenience store) in the open air grounds of Market Market mall in Taguig City. 

A live demonstration of Soup and Go preparation was held at the store, where APC president Koichi Ozaki showcased its simplicity and convenience. Just pour the contents of the Soup and Go sachet into a cup, add hot water, stir, and wait for one minute.

“We are very excited for the Philippines because we know how the Filipino people love breakfast. With Soup and Go, our aim is to make their mornings brighter through a convenient dish that’s flavorful and nutritious made with carefully selected ingredients from Japan like corn from the Hokkaido farms (just for corn flavor), and authentic milk from Japan (for all flavors),” says Koichi Ozaki during the press event.

Soup and Go® comes in three flavors: Corn, Potato, and Pumpkin, each box containing three single-serve sachets for P85. It is currently available exclusively at 7-11 branches for the first three months, with nationwide availability coming soon. Mr. Ozaki highlighted that Soup and Go is designed to make mornings convenient and nutritious, using high-quality ingredients from Japan.

The pop up konbini store will be open to the public and will be giving free cups of Soup and Go until July 21, 2024.
