Bodies of man, woman found in remote area in Cagayan

GATTARAN, Cagayan – The bodies of a 63-year-old man and a woman with bullet wounds were found in a remote area in Barangay Basao, this town, on Saturday afternoon, July 13.

The Police Regional Office-2 identified the male victim as Juanito dela Cruz of Aparri, Cagayan.

The female victim was wearing white bullcap, black striped blouse, and blank silk pants.

Marines found the bodies on a vehicle and informed the police of their discovery.

Dela Cruz was found in the driver’s seat with a bullet wound.

The woman was discovered on a creek 50 meters away from the vehicle.

They were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead.

Two fired caliber .45 cartridge cases and a shotgun cartridge case were found near the vehicle.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
