The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has urged motorists who have not claimed their plastic-printed driver’s license to utilize its “Aksyon on the Spot 09292920865” for faster printing of their licenses.
In a statement, LTO Chief Vigor D. Mendoza II instructed those who have not claimed their plastic-printed driver’s licenses to scan or photograph their paper-printed licenses and send the image to the Viber platform using the “Aksyon on the Spot” number 09292920865.
Mendoza said the LTO will promptly print the licenses at the Central Office and offer the option of delivery through an accredited courier service.
LTO data showed that only five percent of those affected by the backlog have yet to claim their plastic-printed licenses.
This prompted Mendoza to appeal to the remaining percentage to utilize the new service and collect their licenses.
Mendoza emphasized that no motorists should still be using paper-printed licenses, as the supply of plastic cards has been sufficiently distributed to licensing offices nationwide.
“We have already dispatched a sufficient supply of plastic cards to licensing offices across the country. Therefore, all motorists should now have their plastic-printed driver’s licenses as the backlog has been cleared,” stated Mendoza.
