Members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested on Friday, July 12, one of the three robbers who stole a motorcycle in Quezon City last month.

The suspect, identified as Johairie, 24, a resident of Rodriguez, Rizal was arrested during the operation, while alias “Raprap,” and alias “Turbo”, both residents of Barangay 145, Sto. Niño, Pasay City, are still at large.
The suspect's arrest stemmed from the complaint of the victim who went to the the District Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU) on June 28 to report that his motorcycle, which was parked in Barangay Culiat, Quezon City, had been stolen.

The police conducted an extensive follow-up operation and reviewed the CCTV footage in the area to identify the suspects.
On July 12, at around 2 p.m., the operatives spotted the suspects riding the stolen motorcycle from Pasay City towards Quezon City. The police followed them until they reached Barangay Nova Proper, Novaliches.
Cabiran got off the motorcycle and tried to find another vehicle, while “Raprap” fled immediately after he sensed the presence of the police. Cabiran was cornered and arrested.

During the arrest, police discovered a black bag containing various tools and a hand grenade.
The stolen motorcycle was recovered in Pasay City.
Cabiran will face charges for violation of Republic Act 10883, the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016, as well as for violation of R.A. 9516 (unlawful possession of explosives).
Authorities have launched a manhunt for the two other suspects.
