Francis Casey Alcantara and Thai partner Maximus Jones bounced back from a lethargic second set and subdued Yamato Sueoka and Thantub Suksumrarn, 6-3, 4-6, 10-8, in the semifinal round of ITF M15 Nakhon Si Thammarat in Thailand Saturday, July 13.

Alcantara banked on his experience and carried the 19-year-old Jones against the Japanese and Thai duo to overcome their sluggish showing in the second set en route to a dominant finish in the match that lasted for one and a half hour.
The victory arranged them a finals showdown against the unseeded Indian pair of Rishi Reddy and Dhakshineswar Suresh in the tournament that offers $15,000 (roughly Php 876,202) prize money.
Reddy and Suresh escaped their compatriots Adil Kalyanpur and Vishnu Vardhan, 6-4, 7-6 (8), to enter the finals.
The SEAG multi-medalist is up for redemption as he and Jones settled for runner-up finish last weekend after yielding to Kalyanpur and Vardhan, 6-3, 6-2.
Before their semis triumph, Alcantara and Jones thumped New Zealand’s Isaac Becroft and Thailand' Pawit Sornlaksup, 6-2, 6-2, in the opening round, and a 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 win over Thailand’s Krittin Koaykul and Jirat Navasirisomboon in the quarterfinals.
