Police Capt. Glenn Montaño, head of Police Station 2, said the victim was seen talking and later on figured in an argument with an individual.

The suspect drew a gun and shot the victim, who was accompanied by a teenage boy who was unharmed.

The victim was declared dead in a hospital due to bullet wounds.

Recovered from the crime scene were five fired bullets and a deformed slug.

Montaño said the victim committed alarm and scandal and violated Republic Act 11332 or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act in April 2020 during the pandemic.

Police are looking into revenge or grudges as possible motives. The victim was allegedly involved in theft incidents here.

However, Montaño said that no official complaint was filed against the victim.

Montaño said the victim was also tagged as an alleged drug user but his death could not be linked to illegal drugs.
