Security guard arrested for robbing convenience store

ALITAGTAG, Batangas – Police arrested a 34-year-old security guard for allegedly robbing a convenience store in Barangay Poblacion West here on Thursday, July 11.

Investigation said the suspect, Raymond, a resident of Barangay Bungahan, Cuenca, Batangas, wearing a bonnet and helmet, approached the cashier and declared a holdup at gunpoint at 6 p.m.

The suspect grabbed the money in the register and escaped onboard a motorcycle.

The incident was immediately reported to the police who intercepted the suspect in Barangay Bungahan.

The suspect yielded clothes and gun.

Raymond is in the custody of the police and faces appropriate charges.
